Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to start Star Citizen?

You need a starter package, which includes the game and a ship. We generally recommend the one with the Aurora MK II — a great ship to begin with, and you can grow from there in-game.

Do I need to speak English?

No. CRUX is a Brazilian org and the community speaks Portuguese. The game is in English, but you play and talk with us in PT-BR on Discord.

I'm new to Star Citizen. Can I join?

Yes. We welcome everyone from rookies to veterans and help new pilots with ships, professions and mechanics — no forced specialization.

What is an org in Star Citizen?

An org (organization) is a group of players operating together in Star Citizen — mining, trading, exploring and protecting fleets. It's like a clan or guild, officially registered on RSI.

What activities does CRUX run?

Exploration, heavy mining, trade routes and tactical fleet security. You choose your front; every profession works in synergy under a single umbrella.

How does recruitment work?

Create your RSI account, apply on the [CRXC] org page and join our Discord to introduce yourself. No trials, no bureaucracy.

Do I need a specific ship?

No. Any starter ship is enough to begin. Over time, the org helps you grow and take part in larger joint operations.

Can I play Star Citizen for free?

Yes — during Free Fly events the developer unlocks the game for free for a limited time, great for trying before you buy. Joining CRUX is always free.

Is there a Brazilian server? What about ping?

Servers are international, but the game runs well from Brazil. Our community is Brazilian and coordinates around Brazilian time zones.

Is Star Citizen pay-to-win?

Officially, no. Ships and gear can be earned with credits made in-game; buying ships is convenience, not a decisive advantage.

Is it single-player or online?

Both. Squadron 42 is the single-player campaign; the Persistent Universe — where CRUX operates — is the online MMO where we fly together.

Do I need to commit many hours? Is attendance mandatory?

No. We don't require hours or mandatory attendance. Play at your own pace — from casual to hardcore, there's room for everyone.

Do I need a microphone to take part?

It's recommended for group operations, but not required. You can start by following along through Discord text.

What is ATLAS?

It's CRUX's internal platform (atlas.crxc.space) for coordinating events, fleet, missions and loot distribution — an org-built resource on top of Discord.
